Congratulations to Grace Stern who I have selected to receive the Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program (TASSP) scholarship. The TASSP scholarship is awarded to students participating in ROTC programs and have committed to military service. Grace, a 2022 Stratford High School valedictorian, attends the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of UT’s Army ROTC program pursuing a career as an Army Medical Service Officer. Thank you, in advance, to Grace for her service to our country. #HD133Proud

Thank you Advantous Tax for inviting me to participate in the 2024 SALT Summit state legislative insights panel “Straight from the Horses Mouth” Moderator Jason DeCuir led a strong panel discussion with my new friends from Louisiana Senator Mile Reese, Rep. Beau Beaullieu, and Texas Tax Payers Carl Walker. We covered selected topics from our respective tax structures to 2025 legislative session tax policy priorities to tax policy impact on Texas’ and Louisiana’s economies and more. In the 89th, look for the Texas Legislature to take more burden off property taxpayers as the state assumes more public education funding. As long as we stay focused on the taxpayer, doing only what government should do - and do it well, the Texas economy and our fellow Texans will continue to thrive. #txlege
